Hand-crafted in small batches by a mother-daughter duo, M. Greenwood pie fillings and jams are made in California using the freshest local ingredients. This autumn-inspired apple pie filling is sweet, tart, and cozy, with flavors that enhance the natural juices of the apples and spices that recall a sunny day in fall.
To make a pie: spoon entire quart into a pastry lined 9-inch pie pan. Dot with 1 tablespoon of butter. Cut slits in top crust and adjust. Seal and flute edges. Cover edge of pie with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes, remove foil. Bake 25-30 minutes more or until golden. Or spoon onto vanilla ice cream or warm toast and eat.
