Summer Garden Chandeliers
A constant source of décor inspiration, our Garden Chandelier Hook is getting a summer makeover in stores courtesy of Design by Terrain. The wild and beautiful creations above come to us courtesy of designer Beth C., who layered chandelier hooks with some of our favorite wreaths to build one-of-a-kind structures. We'd love to accent our summer patio with one of these dazzling displays. Read on to learn more about each of Beth's designs.
Wreath + Vine Whirlwind (1): A combination of three wreaths forms this striking installation, beginning with a 4-foot grapevine wreath (found in stores). A Garden Chandelier Hook is suspended within the largest wreath, holding a Nigella and Sage Wreath below. A smaller grapevine wreath makes up the third tier, creating the frame for a sculpture of green willow branches. Beth attached the branches to the largest wreath then spiraled them to create the whirlwind shape, adding Stargazer Lights and hanging votives throughout. A mixture of faux flowers and preserved boxwood branches accents the structure for a lush look.
Votive Chandelier (2): Beth's second creation starts with a Garden Chandelier Hook and 4-foot grapevine wreath. A Shepherd's Hook suspends a second chandelier, plus a wreath of decorative flowers and foliage. The structure is woven throughout with willow branches and Stargazer Boxwood Lights to add greenery, then accented with a Pressed Zinc Leaf Garland and preserved stoebe. Beth used around 20 votives in various shapes and sizes, hanging them from the larger wreath with jute garden twine. She recommends hanging them by twos on each side of the wreath, being sure to balance the larger and smaller sizes so the structure remains even. Finally, she trimmed the blooms from a few faux magnolia branches and used some of the votives as vases to hold them.
Layered Wreath Chandelier (3+4): Beth's final look also begins with two Garden Chandelier Hooks and graduated wreaths, in this case a 4-foot grapevine wreath and a wreath of dried blooms (she suggests the Pastel Hydrangea or Fern Glade Wreath). Fresh cut curly willow branches and reindeer moss are woven into the grapevine wreath for a wilder, more organic look, while the chandeliers get a green accent with strands of Stargazer Boxwood Lights. Our Pressed Metal Flower Garland adds color to the display alongside preserved and faux blooms.
