In Bloom: 4 Stunning Spring Arrangements

What's the first sign of spring in your part of the world? We asked four of our favorite florists from across the US to show us the start of spring in their region using an arrangement of fresh, seasonal flowers and their favorite vessel from our perfectly aged Linen Wrapped Pot collection. Read on to find out more about the beautiful bouquets above, which capture signs of spring in California, New York, Utah, and Georgia.

Flowers Used
Magnolia, daffodils, anemones, ranunculus, maple, variegated boxwood, peach, spirea, forsythia, quince, lonicera, and hellebore in the Linen Wrapped Wide Rim Pot, Slate

Spring Inspiration
Flowering branches bring me so much joy. I always get excited to use them. The week of this arrangement was the first week branch blooms started to open. I love their tangling of flowers as branches cross one another. Each type of branch has its own style of architecture, culminating in an overall feel of looseness and flow. This also makes it one of my favorite spring floral elements.

You know it's spring in your neighborhood when…
This year was an unusually cold winter followed by a perfectly timed spring. I would say early spring started here in Georgia around Feb 15th. Literally two days after that, 6-8" of snow fell at the farm. Buds on trees and shrubs started to swell quickly and tips of new leaves poked up from the bottoms of our perennials. Hellebores were opening and birds suddenly appeared everywhere, singing.

Flowers Used
Anemones, ranunculus, clematis, jasmine, viburnum, Garden Snow roses, fritillaria in the Linen Wrapped Cylinder Bowl, Slate

Spring Inspiration
I decided to use muted tones for this arrangement to represent the quiet and soft approach of spring we are seeing and the reintroduction of color into our lives. It's been a particularly long and grey winter in New York!

Favorite Spring Flower
I love flowering magnolia. It reminds me of New Orleans, where I'm from, and a particular tree that was planted there by my grandmother almost 50 years ago.

You know it's spring in your neighborhood when…
In Brooklyn, the first hint of Spring usually comes with buds on the flowering trees. There's one street in my neighborhood that is lined with pear trees. By April, there are so many pear blossoms; it looks as if it's snowing

Flowers Used
Hellebore, spirea, foxglove, quicksand rose, ranunculus, frittilaria, cherry blossoms, pieris, heuchera, grape ivy, daffodil in the Linen Wrapped Tall Cylinder, Terracotta

Favorite Spring Flower
It's hard to commit to an absolute favorite flower, but I used three of my favorites in this arrangement! Foxglove, hellebore, and spirea. I love spring blooms because they are so delicate and often very intricately shaped, too.

You know it's spring in your neighborhood when…
The first signs of spring in my neighborhood are usually leaves of bulbs popping through the ground, shortly followed by visible buds on the trees. One of my favorite things about this season is the colors, especially the colors in the early spring. Before all of the flowers and leaves are out, just some of the early spring blooms are poking through. I love their colors mixed with the browns and greens of the wet earth. I love the muddy and muted color palettes that can be made with these early spring flowers, not just the really bright ones that we often see.

Flowers Used
Fritillaria, tulip, magnolia branch, daffodil, narcissus, viburnum, foxglove, and ranunculus in the Linen Wrapped Cylinder Bowl, Slate

Spring Inspiration
In my color story, I wanted to show the subtle hues of spring in LA. The contrast of the pale mauves with the buttery yellows are inspired by my walks in Elysian Park. The magnolia in my arrangement was cut from a tree in my neighbor's yard and the narcissus were grown in mine.

Favorite Spring Flower
I LOVE daffodils. They have been my favorite ever since I was a child growing up in New England. Their soft scent and bright bloom speaks right to my heart. The all-white daffodil I used in this arrangement takes my breath away. When I was in third grade, I entered a contest with the US postal service to have one of my drawings become a stamp and I won! The drawing was of a daffodil.

You know it's spring in your neighborhood when…
Living in LA spring is about lush hillsides with the soft scent of geranium and lavender filling the air. I also love seeing the magnolia trees in full blossom.
