Watch: A Blooming Bulb Centerpiece
Offering fresh blooms for the harvest and holiday table alike, our latest planted arrangement is a long-lasting centerpiece display. Starting with a simple Habit + Form tray, our stylists created a planting that features two favorite bulbs: hyacinths and paperwhites. Freshly-cut hyacinth blooms add instant color to the arrangement, while the paperwhites will sprout petite, white flowers as the holidays approach. Watch the centerpiece take shape above, then read on for our simple how-to and all the components to get the look.
Our stylists say, "Starting with a low-profile tray, we placed a delicate angel vine for foliage and built a mound of clump moss around its base. Next, we added foraged twigs and pieces of bark to give the look of a forest floor. We tucked paperwhite bulbs into the moss, then anchored two taper stakes into the soil of the angel vine. We chose some favorite bud vases -- a metallic pair for a touch of sparkle -- then filled them with water and placed fresh-cut hyacinth stems inside. Finally, we lit the candles to complete the display."
