An Heirloom Tomato Celebration
This Saturday, both terrain locations celebrated the annual Heirloom Tomato Festival– an ode to the garden’s most beloved bounty. Despite scattered showers, spirits were bright amongst festivalgoers as they perused pop-up shops of local makers and growers, from Happy Cat Farm to Mousetrap Vintage. Guests sampled gourmet fare including Bloody Marys and specialty pasta sauce, and voted for their favorite salsa in our annual employee salsa contest. Live music, garden crafts, and activities for little ones rounded out the day, which came to a close at Styer’s with a book signing and heirloom-inspired dinner hosted by the Beekman Boys. “The Heirloom Tomato Festival is always a customer favorite and this one was our best yet, with an abundance of tomato-centric goodies and a special visit from some farm animal friends, courtesy of Doe Run,” said Events Manager, Diane S. “An afternoon, with Bloody Marys, baby goats, and the Beekman Boys– it doesn’t get much better than that!”
