Foraging Field Trip

Seeking inspiration for fall décor at the store, our design team recently took to the woods near terrain in Glen Mills. Their foraging field trip yielded a collection of flowers and foliage that will be carefully preserved to create our autumn displays, using old-fashioned air drying techniques as well as more complex methods for preserving delicate blooms with glycerin, silica, and borax. Favorite finds included the bright orange Laetiporus shelf mushroom shown above. As the seasons change, their discoveries will be spotted filling dried arrangements, accenting planted containers, and suspended in bunches around the store. We can't wait to see the finished product!
