Christmas in Copenhagen and Stockholm
Earlier this month, our creative team set off for Scandinavia to visit the renown Christmas markets and came back with an abundance of inspiration to carry through our holiday creative direction for years to come. Lacey Soslow says both Copenhagen and Stockholm were “magical, to say the least - the Scandinavian aesthetic has certainly inspired terrain since the beginning and to experience the thoughtful presentations in person reinforced why this simple, timeless approach has resonated.” Laura agrees that the “unadorned, unfussy, undone aesthetic elevates even the simplest decoration.” She was especially taken with their use of fresh greens in unexpected ways - as doormats, to cover garden beds, and as tree skirts. And Danielle says she loved that “almost every window had candles or a simple paper star hung in it. The way light was used really stood out given the 8:30 am sunrise and 3:30 pm sunset.” The trio also saw thoughtful, small touches everywhere, from warm wool throws for outdoor seating at cozy cafes to “the coolest wines list you’ve ever seen,” as Lacey says. Laura summed up her takeaway by saying “everything they do is an expression of nature.“

We hope this peek inside our team's trip has inspired your own holiday decorating. Our Winter Shop is still full of festive ideas to dress up your home for the holidays.
