Behind the Scenes: The Farm at Doe Run
Throughout the summer, our photo team has been enjoying some idyllic days in the country as they shoot against a gorgeous local backdrop-- The Farm at Doe Run. Founded on a philosophy of simple and sustainable farming, Doe Run is one of our favorite sources for cheese, microgreens, and fresh veggies. Their award-winning cheeses make frequent appearances on the menu at Styer's Garden Cafe, and we eagerly await their monthly appearances at our office farmer's market.
Doe Run prides itself on stewardship of the land-- a quality that's very apparent in the green fields and beautiful vistas seen above. Cheese masterminds Samuel Kennedy and Matthew Hettlinger need a lot of fresh milk for their creations, so a multitude of friendly faces can be found in the fields. Jersey cows, East Friesian sheep, and Nubian goats spend their days grazing in the farm's expansive pastures-- and occasionally guest-starring in terrain's photoshoots. Take a peek, above, at some favorite moments from our summer shoots at Doe Run and see more from the farm here.
