Autumn Bounty at Terrain

We recently celebrated the arrival of fall at terrain as each store hosted to our Autumn Bounty Festival. In Glen Mills, the day greeted visitors with blue skies and warm temperatures, making for a perfect afternoon to explore the marketplace of over 25 local makers and growers. We also welcomed local farmers via The Food Trust, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit who received 10% of the day's proceeds. In Westport, a donation was made to the Westport Farmer's Market, whose vendors offered an abundance of fresh produce and local goods.

Festivalgoers at both stores enjoyed live music and browsed rare and unusual pumpkins as they sampled hard cider, freshly toasted s'mores, and fire-roasted corn. Creative visitors could take part in seasonal workshops, while the youngest green thumbs enjoyed face painting and garden crafts. At Styer's, locally acclaimed pumpkin carver Linda Allan stopped in with some fantastical fall creations, and terrain staff joined in the fun with the annual pumpkin carving contest. Westport visitors sampled sweet treats courtesy of the ever-popular staff pie baking contest, shopped trunkshows from terrain favorites Elizabeth Gillett and Lily B., and rounded out the day with a harvest dinner featuring Westport Farmer’s Market produce that highlighted the best of the season's crops.

If you couldn't make it to the festival-- or you're just in the mood for more fall fun-- stop by our events calendar to see what we've got planned for October.
