As garden season begins, join Gardenista favorite Chef Joshua McFadden for a cocktail hour and signing of his new book, Six Seasons. The Executive Chef/Owner at Ava Gene’s in Portland, Chef McFadden kindled his love for vegetables as farm manager at Maine’s Four Season Farm. After cocktail hour, the Garden Cafe will offer an a la carte menu inspired by Six Seasons. Reservations are required for cocktail hour. $10 per person. Share Cookbook Dinner with Tracy Craighead

Join local author Tracy Craighead for a dinner inspired by Share: The Cookbook That Celebrates Our Common Humanity. Created by a group of like-minded women, Share was made to raise awareness about Women for Women International. Tracy will discuss Share and Women for Women International as she hosts a cocktail hour and three-course dinner featuring dishes from the book, which includes recipe contributions from Meryl Streep, Alice Waters, Emma Thompson, Archbishop Desmund Tutu, Paul McCartney, and more. Reservations are required. $60 per person. Cost includes presentation, appetizers, three-course meal, tax and service. Wine and cocktails will be available for purchase.
