On a tiny farm outside of Austin, Texas, Folk Fibers’ Maura Ambrose imagined and lovingly hand-crafted this collection of heirloom quilts for terrain. Using vintage fabric and natural dyes made from her own garden, each remarkable piece begins in Ambrose’s hands, before it is hand-quilted by another Texas artist, Monica Loring. Every quilt arrives in a cedar crate along with its story: a watercolor of the quilt design hand-painted by Ambrose, and swatches detailing each fabric and dye used.
