beautiful and affordable!
01|14|12 - I love the mini terrarium! Its make a beautiful addition to my desk. Mine looks just like the one in the picture. The plants are smaller, but they will grow larger I think. Affordable too, minus the excessive $20 shipping cost. First one I ordered arrived broken (by fault of a careless mailman), but customer service was very helpful. My second one arrived in perfect condition, though it did take awhile to get here!
cute idea, damaged plants, frustrating shipping method
12|13|11 - The kit itself is adorable-- the glass orb is easy enough to work with and the result is really nice. But I have two complaints. One, there was an extra $20 shipping charge that isn't mentioned until checkout. I wish that was in the description, as it makes this significantly more expensive. Second, one of my tillandsia plants was damaged upon arrival. The plants arrive in the glass orb, and while it was all packed securely, it was obvious that one of the plants had been stuffed into the orb quickly, because the tips of each sprout on one side were broken off. In light of the $20 shipping and handling charge, I'd expect more careful handling. This order also took much longer to ship than any other order I've placed in the past. This is the first time I've been disappointed with Terrain-- if I could do it over again, I'd probably buy the glass orb and moss separately, then fill it with tillandsia from a local nursery.
Ask A Question
Q. Christian Todenhagen asked, “A terrarium kit would be a wonderful gift for one oer two of my daughters. How many days can they leave a Tillandsia unattended when they are away on business?”
A. Hello, The tillandsia can be left alone for a week or so if they soak them before they leave. Best, terrain
