    Summer Cooking Workshop Series: Summertime Dips

    Come to our garden cafe to learn and sample our kitchen specialist's favorite summer recipes. In this three-part workshop series, each installment will highlight summertime favorites for hosting parties on the patio or simple snacks at home. In this second installment, participants will learn how to make fresh and local summertime dips.

    Reservations are required for each installment of this series. $15 per person, per workshop, or $40 for all three. Cost includes instruction, tasting, and recipes to take home.

    Bring your favorite plants into your home year-round with the help of terrain. Whether you are a seasoned grower or a novice gardener, this workshop will spark your creativity to design a one-of-a-kind terrarium. Choose from our wide selection of plants and glass vessels to create your garden. In this workshop, we will introduce you to the whimsical yet practical world of gardens under glass.

    Reservations are required. $25 per person. Cost includes instruction, potting materials, and refreshments. Plants and terrariums will be available for purchase.

    Heirloom Tomato Festival

    It's high-time to celebrate the peak of tomato season at terrain. Join us on August 18th as we honoring all-things red, ripe, and tomato, with an heirloom afternoon of workshops, contests, live music, cooking demonstrations, a lecture & book signing by renowned gardener Mar Jennings, and more!

    Open activities for the afternoon will include live bluegrass music, a salsa-making contest, grilled eats in the garden, and complimentary ice cream for all.

    1p & 3p Tomato recipe cooking demonstration from Summer Days and Balmy Nights

    1-2p Mother+Daughter Sunprint Aprons Workshop, $40 per person, cost includes instruction and using sunprinting techniques to create your own unique kitchen apron

    2-3p Sunprinting T-Shirts Workshop, $40 per person, cost includes instruction and using sunprinting techniques to create your own custom t-shirt

    3-4p Water Balloon Toss to benefit Connecticut Challenge

    4-5p A Lecture & Book Signing with Mar Jennings, $20 per person, cost includes light refreshments and book signing. More about Mar: featured on HGTV, The Today Show, and The New York Times, Mar Jennings is nationally recognized for his passion and taste for unique garden style.

    4-5p Family Pickling Workshop, $10 per person, cost includes instruction and all materials to pickle local summer tomatoes
